Madeline Tajirian Davis, 91; Southern New England Telephone Retiree, Glastonbury Resident

Madeline Tajirian Davis, widow of the John “Jack” Davis Sr. of Glastonbury and St. Pete Beach FL died, December 24, 2014 at Hartford Hospital at the age of 91 after a very brief illness.
She was born in Hartford, CT on September 19, 1923 and graduated from Hartford Public High School in June of 1941. She was the daughter of the late Harry Tajirian and Frances (Donegian) Tajirian.

She leaves a son, John A. Davis Jr. and his companion Susan Sylvia of Glastonbury and a brother Marshall Tajarian and his wife Allison of Old Wethersfield. Known to all as Nana, she leaves her grandsons Jason and Kelly Romano of Wake Forest, NC, Mathew Romano of Newington, CT and Daniel and Nahtanha Romano of Dorchester, MA. and Michael and Ali Davis of South Glastonbury, CT. She was always proud to announce she had eight great grandchildren, Carly and Emma Romano of Wake Forest, NC. Mason, Jackson, and Madison Romano of Newington, CT. Aiden and Gage Romano of Dorchester, MA. and James Anthony Davis of South Glastonbury, CT.
She was predeceased by her daughter Maureen Davis Romano. Her great granddaughter Jordyn Romano. Her brother Richard and his wife Mary Tajirian and her brother Harry Tajirian.

Madeline retired in 1986 after 43 years of service from the Southern New England Telephone Company. She was a life member of the Telephone Pioneers and a member of AARP 2010 of Glastonbury.
Up until recently Madeline was always looking forward to Thursday mornings to play setback at the Glastonbury Community Center. She was known to not accept phone calls during New York Yankees games. She was a long time member of the Portland Golf Course Wednesday morning Women’s league. She spent her winters enjoying golfing with friends and family all over the west coast of Florida.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to Madeline’s caregivers during the later years of her life. Dale Scaglia her caregiver in Glastonbury, CT and for a very short time Tender Loving care of Glastonbury, CT and especially Priscilla, a part of that organization and Lynn Rae Kidd her caregiver in St. Pete Beach, Florida who worked for Gulf Port Helping Hands.
Funeral will be Saturday, December 27, 2014 with a mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in St. Paul Church, 2577 Main Street, Glastonbury. Family and friends may pay their respects from 9-10:30 am Saturday December 27, 2014 at Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. Madeline is to be buried at the Neipsic Veteran’s Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the organization of the Donor’s choice.
