Man Being Held on $1 Million Bond in Glastonbury Child Sex Assault Case

A man accused of sexual assault in Glastonbury is being held, records indicate.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A man facing a first-degree sexual assault in a case involving Glastonbury children has to sit for a month on a $1 million bond before his next visit with a judge, according to updated judicial system records records.

The next scheduled court date for Carlos Claudio, 43, is slated for March 1, according to judicial system records. Records also indicate he has the $1 million bond is double the bond assigned when he was arrested on Jan. 8.

He is accused of "routinely" sexually assaulting two juvenile family members since 2014, police said in an arrest report.

His charges include first-degree sex assault, illegal sexual contact and risk of injury to a minor. The illegal contact charged was a revision during the legal process, according to court records.

Claudio had lived on Seymour Street in Hartford at the time of his arrest, according to police documents.
