Man Charged With Child Sex Assault in Glastonbury

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 76-year-old man has been charged with sexual assault on a child, Glastonbury police said on Thursday.

Frank Venn , of 68 Oakley St., New Haven, has been charged with fourth-degree sexual assault, risk of injury to a child and illegal sexual contact, police said. The age and gender of the child was not specified on an arrest report.

Venn was initially given a $250,000 bond, but that was reduced to $50,000, which he posted in court, judicial system and police records indicate.

He is due back before a judge again on June 27, according to court records.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation by the Glastonbury Police Youth Unit.
