Man Charged With Collecting Child Porn While Living in Glastonbury: State Police

GLASTONBURY, CT — A 46-year-old man is facing child pornography charges on a warrant that accuses him of accumulating illicit images of children when he was a resident of Glastonbury, state police said.

Darin Redding,who now lives in Hungtington, IN, was in Connecticut on Wednesday on a $250,000 bond, state police said. He was arrested in Indiana and brought to Connecticut on Tuesday, state police said.

Redding has been charged with promoting a minor in an obscene performance as well as possession of child pornography, state police said.

The investigation into Redding’s online activity began in December of 2015, after Troopers discovered child pornography files were being shared from an internet account assigned to Redding’s home, state police said.

In March of this year, state police secured a search warrant for Redding’s home, and confiscated computers and computer related equipment. Redding resided on Mountain Road in Glastonbury before moving to Indiana prior to the conclusion of the investigation, state police said.

Troopers seized computer files and found suspected child pornography, state police said.
