Man Charged With Endangerment After Glastonbury DUI Stop

A Glastonbury man is facing an endangerment charge after a traffic stop.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury man is facing a child endangerment charge after driving into a separate police investigation while intoxicated, according to an arrest report.

The incident took place on Feb. 4, police said.

It was 10:44 p.m. and police had set up a roadblock at 2217 New London Turnpike, according to an arrest report. A car driven by Peter Rydel, 42, of Glastonbury, approached the investigation and officers suspected he was drunk, according to a police report. There were children in the vehicle, according to an arrest report.

He was subsequently arrested for child endangerment with DUI and driving under the influence, according to an arrest report.
