Man Hits Tree in Glastonbury, Keeps Going, Intercepted in Parking Lot: Police
A Glastonbury man is facing a drunken driving charge, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury man is facing a drunken driving charge after hitting a tree on Main Street, then continuing on local roads to a parking lot over the weekend, according to a police report.
The incident took place at 3:45 p.m. on Sunday, police said. Police aid they received a 911 call about an erratic driver in a tan Nissan who hit a tree on Main Street and then re-entered the roadway.
The car was tracked down in a parking lot at 21 Spring St. and the driver was attempting to leave the lot, police said.

The car was stopped and Thomas Gallagher, 57, of Glastonbury, was charged with driving under the influence, interfering with police, evading responsibility and failure to drive right, police said.
He is due in court on Jan. 25, police said.
