It traditionally operates from April 1 through November. The ferry uses the three-car barge Hollister III, which is pushed across the river by the diesel tug Cumberland. Service generally operates weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6:45 p.m. and weekends from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., though operations remain subject to weather, river conditions and mechanical issues.
