Melinda 'Lindy' Korper: Worked in the Banking, Insurance Industries

Melinda “Lindy” Korper, 65, formerly of Glastonbury and East Granby, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 at Hartford Hospital with her Guardian Angel and best friend Nurse Lori at her side.

Born February 14, 1950 in Hartford, Lindy was the daughter of the late Donald and Martha (Dixon) Korper.

She was an avid animal lover, especially horses. Lindy worked many years in the banking industry, then 19 years at The Hartford Ins. Co., before retiring in 2013.

Lindy is survived by 2 brothers Leslie and Debra Korper of Glastonbury, Peter and Ana Korper of Salado, Texas; Best friend Lori and Ken Sullivan of East Granby; 5 nieces and nephews; other relatives, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a brother Donald Korper.

Friends and relatives are asked to wear bright colors to her services at the Glastonbury Funeral Home, 450 New London Turnpike, Glastonbury, which will held on Saturday, October 10, 2015, beginning with Visitation at 1 pm, and a Celebration of Life service at 2 pm. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
