No School Wednesday for Smith, Buttonball, Hebron Ave.; All Others in Session
School is in session for Glastonbury High School, Naubuc, Nayaug, Gideon Welles, Hopewell, Eastbury and the GEMS magnet school following widespread outages from Hurricane Sandy.

School will be in session Wednesday for several Glastonbury public schools, while others still remain in the dark.
School is in session today for Glastonbury High School, Gideon Welles School, Naubuc School, Eastbury School, Hopewell School and Nayaug School. All of those schools currently have power available, and so will be in session, according to Superintendent Alan Bookman.

The Glastonbury-East Hartford Elementary Magnet School will also reopen Wednesday, as well as the alternate program at the Board of Education Office.
Smith Middle School, Buttonball Lane School and Hebron Avenue School all remain closed due to continuing power loss from Hurricane Sandy. The school year for the remaining schools will be extended by however many additional days are necessary, Bookman said.
