'Organized' Theft at Victoria's Secret Leads to Charges

More charges are expected, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A teen has been charged with a crime called "organized retail theft" for a shoplifting incident at Victoria's Secret, Glastonbury police said.

Chanel Palmer, 19, of Bloomfield, was arrested on a warrant by Avon police on Nov. 30 and transferred to Glastonbury, where she was charged with organized retail theft, third-degree larceny and a related conspiracy charge, police said.

The Glastonbury shoplifting incident took place at the Victoria's Secret shop at 140 Glastonbury Boulevard on Aug. 17, police said.

She posted a $25,000 bond and is due in court on Dec. 13, police said.

Additional arrests are forthcoming, police said.
