Pawned Chainsaw Leads Cops To Contractor In Glastonbury Theft
A contractor is accused of stealing tools from a Glastonbury home.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A pawned chainsaw led police to home improvement contractor who is accused of stealing tools from a Glastonbury home, a report incidates.
Peter Montano, 53, of Coventry, was charged with fourth-degree larceny after his arrest on a warrant Monday, police said.
Montano is accused of stealing tools and "miscellaneous items" from a Glastonbury residence in May 2019, according to a report.

He was found to have pawned a chainsaw that was stolen from the residence, according to a report.
At the time of the thefts, Montano was working for a contractor hired by a homeowner to
complete renovations on a residence, according to a report.

Montano was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond and is scheduled to appear in Manchester Superior Court on Aug. 28.
