Pedestrian Killed In Glastonbury Crash Identified

The pedestrian killed in a lunchtime car accident in Glastonbury on Thursday has been identified.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The pedestrian killed in a lunchtime car accident in Glastonbury on Thursday has been identified as an 84-year-old local resident, police said.

Valda Dienavs, of Glastonbury, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The crash took place along the 400 block of Griswold Street at 12:05 p.m., police said.

The vehicle then evaded the scene, police said.
