Police Make Another Arrest Related to Glastonbury Vehicle Burglaries

The thefts tool place in October and an accomplice had already been charged, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Police said they have made another arrest in a series of car burglaries in October.

Indian Vargas, 20, who has no certain address, was taken into custody on March 9 and appeared in court that same day, according to police and judicial system records. He failed to post a $50,000 bond and is due back in court on April 6, according to judicial system records.

Vargas has not yet entered a plea, according to court records.

He has been charged with two counts of first-degree larceny with a related conspiracy charge, 10 counts of third-degree burglary, second-degree larceny, third-degree larceny and two counts of credit card thefts, police said.

According to an arrest report, the burglaries took place between Oct. 17 and 19 and involved unlocked cars. Four unlocked cars that contained keys were also stolen outright, police said.

A juvenile has already been arrested in the case.

Additional arrests are expected, police said.
