Police: Man Assaults Ex-Girlfriend's New Beau

Glastonbury Police say the suspect entered an apartment through an unlocked window.

Glastonbury police arrested a man on third-degree assault and first-degree burglary charges after he reportedly broke into an apartment and assaulting his ex-girlfriend’s new beau.

Police said Eric Avitabile entered the House Street apartment through an unlocked window about 3:30 a.m. Sunday and assaulted the man, according to an NBC Connecticut report.

Avitabile was caught a short time later. His bond was set at $25,000 and he was assigned an Aug. 20 court date, according to the report.
