Police Pose As 'Record Producer' to Lure Burglary Suspect

An aspiring rapper was a suspect in a string of car burglaries.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Glastonbury police have arrested a suspect in a string of local car burglaries by posing as a "record producer."

The suspect, 19-year-old Zoe Dowdell, was know to police as an aspiring rapper, according to an arrest report.

Dowdell is accused of breaking into cars, stealing credit cards and using the cards at stores in the Hartford area, according to a police report.

Officers contacted Dowdell posing as a producer and he agreed to meet, according to a police report. He was then arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, credit card theft, illegal use of a credit card and sixth-degree larceny along with related conspiracy charges, police said.
