Police Snag Hartford Teen, Glastonbury High School Student in 'Catfishing' Scheme

A Hartford teen and Glastonbury High School student are facing charges after posing as a young girl and “catfishing” nearly two dozen other people, in an effort to entice them to send lewd pictures and gift cards, police told NBC Connecticut.

Many of those scammed were many of them teenagers, NBC said.

THe gift cards were iTunes, NBC said.
