Premium Ice Cream Franchise Expanding Into Glastonbury
A popular ice cream shop will be settling into a Glastonbury plaza.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A premium ice cream franchise is expanding into the Shops at Somerset Square in Glastonbury.
Cold Stone Creamery is listed as "coming soon" on the plaza's website.

Right now, Cold Stone's Connecticut locations include 490 S. Broad St. in Meriden; 297 Boston Post Road in Orange; 2323 Black Rock Turnpike in Fairfield and 909 Hartford Turnpike in Waterford.
Somerset Square, located at the 130 Glastonbury Boulevard, has been a hot commodity as of late.
Colony Grill is in the process of moving in as well.
The chain, known for its thin-crust pizza with a hot oil topping, has targeted the former Coldwater Creek retail space at the Shops at Somerset Square in Glastonbury.
An update says the newest location is "set to open later this year" at the 130 Glastonbury Boulevard location and and offers several particulars:
- The restaurant will seat m ore than 175 patrons indoors
- It will have a full bar with 12 tap lines
- Multiple TVs will be placed throughout
- The location will feature a large outdoor patio with TVs
Colony has Connecticut locations in Shelton, Milford, Fairfield, Norwalk and Stamford.
There is one close to the Greenwich town line in Port Chester, NY.
