Riverfront Park Boat Launch Re-Opens
The boat ramp at Riverfront Park in Glastonbury is back open.

GLASTONBURY, CT — The Riverfront Park Boat launch in Glastonbury re-opened Thursday.
Town officials said boaters are being urged to use caution as the water level in the Connecticut River is still "lower than usual."
"The Town will continue to monitor the water level at the launch on a daily basis to determine if it's safe for public use," town officials said. "We will post future updates to this website and the Glastonbury Parks & Recreation Facebook page as applicable."

Ironically, a vehicle sped down the ramp Wednesday and wound up in the water. The driver was safely rescued by a safety boat from a nearby rowing team that was training in the river, police said. See the story here.
