Road Well-Traveled In Glastonbury Closed After Car Knocks Over Pole
Repairs to a wrecked utility pole lasted from Thursday night well into Friday in Glastonbury.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Traffic was snarled in a busy area of Glastonbury Friday morning after a car crashed into a utility pole late Thursday night, police said.
The crash on Hubbard Street took place at 11:01 p.m., police said. The pole wound up across the road and it forced police to close off Hubbard Street from the Route 17 off-ramp to Buttonball Lane.
At 10 a.m., a Frontier crew was still at the scene repairing the pole. Police said the work had a "lingering impact" on traffic into the lunchtime period.
