Roberta Lisa Vetica: Hair Stylist, South Glastonbury Resident

Roberta Lisa (Palenza) Vetica, 53, of South Glastonbury, loving wife of Michael Vetica, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital in Hartford after a long illness.

Born in Hartford on February 27, 1962, a daughter of the late Anthony and Rosetta (Tammaro) Palenza, she had resided in East Hartford for many years prior to moving to South Glastonbury. Roberta was a graduate of East Catholic High School in Manchester, Class of 1980 and was a Hair Stylist for many years at Rosetta’s Beauty Salon on Farmington Avenue, Hartford.

Besides her beloved husband, Michael, Roberta is survived by a son, Michael Vetica of Glastonbury; two daughters, Maria Vetica and Nicole Vetica both of Glastonbury; a brother, Joseph Palenza and his wife, Rosa, of Glastonbury; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Funeral service will be Thursday (October 22nd) at 11 am at the D’Esopo-East Hartford Memorial Chapel, 30 Carter St., East Hartford. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, Hebron Avenue, Glastonbury. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home chapel on Wednesday, Oct. 21 from 4-7 pm.
