Schedule Changing For Main Street Work In Glastonbury
Work is ongoing to improve Main Street in Glastonbury.

GLASTONBURY, CT — There has been a change in the schedule for the Main Street improvement project in Glastonbury.
Officials said work is continuing this week on the brick snow shelf area on the west side of Main Street with completion anticipated by the end of the month.
Over coming weeks, periodic detours may be implemented within the project area, particularly near the intersection of Main Street and Naubuc Avenue, officials said.

Milling operations, previously projected to begin this week, have been delayed and are tentatively planned to begin around Oct. 4, officials said. Milling work will be conducted during the overnight hours, officials said.
Paving operations will follow and are currently forecast to begin the week of Oct. 13, officials said.

"As with any construction project of this magnitude, the schedule is subject to change based on weather, materials, and other factors. The Town will continue to share updates as available," officials said.
Businesses located in the work area will remain open throughout the work, officials said.
