Spring Fever Foibles

Today the temperature was 58 degrees!  And it was partly sunny!  Finally, a day we could get outside and do dog-related things......like picking up the poop in the mushy, thawing yard (or dog park?).

No, seriously, a lot of people were out walking their pooches today, and this reminded me to make the important announcement:

IF YOUR DOG IS A LITTLE OVER A YEAR OLD YOU MAY BE SURPRISED AT HOW UN-TRAINED YOUR DOG SEEMS THIS SPRING!

Find out what's happening in Glastonburyfor free with the latest updates from Patch.

Remember that last year at this time, your dog was so young that he/she was not really aware of all the squirrels and joggers and bicyclists and kids running around and.......well, you get the picture.  So when your dog sees these things THIS year, he/she may (will!) need to do so with instructions (training) and security (leash or long 30 ft leash).  The little pup that followed you around last Spring may (will!) run after these enchantments this year.  So be prepared, be kind, be informative and have a happy Spring Training experience!
