State Tournament Play to Open for Glastonbury

Here's a look at the upcoming matchups for Tomahawk soccer, field hockey and volleyball, as well as their state championship game history.

GLASTONBURY, CT — Cross country is over, swimming brackets will be announced later this week and football still has three games to go, but four other sports begin their state tournaments over the next three days, with all involving teams from Glastonbury High School.

Listed in order of better seeds, here is the upcoming tournament schedule for Tomahawk teams:

  • boys soccer (LL): Conard/Southington winner at No. 2 Glastonbury, Wed., 11/8, 2 p.m.
  • girls soccer (LL): Middletown/Newington winner at No. 6 Glastonbury, Thurs., 11/9, 2 p.m.
  • field hockey (L): No. 11 New Milford at No. 6 Glastonbury, Weds., 11/8, 4 p.m.
  • girls volleyball (LL): No. 25 Fairfield Warde at No. 8 Glastonbury, Mon., 11/6, 6 p.m.
