Teen Driver Charged After Drunken Passing Spree In Glastonbury: Cops

GLASTONBURY, CT — A teenage driver was drunk when he went on a wild passing spree last week in Glastonbury, police said.

The incident took place June 13, police said.

Just after 9 p.m. that day, the 18-year-old East Hampton resident was caught passing several cars in a no passing zone and was stopped on Main Street near the Portland town line, according to an arrest report.

He was subsequently charged with driving under the influence and three counts of no passing zone violations.

He is scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court July 11, police said.
