The Town continues to monitor weekly data published by CT DPH concerning the number of new cases per community based on the applicable reporting period.  For Glastonbury, new cases totaled 13.3 per 100,000 population effective with the September 23rd report and 12.8 with the September 30th report.  These results place Glastonbury below the red zone for the second consecutive reporting period and present a downward trend in reported new cases.  Based on this information, the local mask requirement effective September 2, 2021 has been discontinued as of 8:00 a.m. Saturday, October 2, 2021.

Please note the mask requirement remains in place for Town buildings including Town Hall, Library, Riverfront Community Center and others.  A decision concerning Town buildings will be considered separate from the Town-wide mask requirement noted above.

Lastly, other than facilities that have a mask requirement per Executive Order 14A (e.g. schools, child daycare centers, certain health care facilities, etc.), building owners and businesses can determine mask requirements for their particular location.
