GLASTONBURY, CT — Water main replacement work on a section of Route 17 in Glastonbury is slated to begin next week, town officials said.

The work will be taking place on New London Turnpike between Sycamore Street and the Route 17 northbound off-ramp beginning the week of Oct. 14.

The work is expected to take approximately six weeks to complete and will involve periods of alternating one-way traffic and motorists should expect delays and seek alternate routes when possible, officials said.
