Willis E. Bailey, 86; Pequot Springs Retiree, Lifelong Glastonbury Resident

Willis E. Bailey, 86, of Glastonbury, husband of the late Amy (Korngiebel) Bailey, died Sunday March 8, 2015 at St. Francis Hospital.

Born July 14, 1928 in Manchester, CT, son of the late Bernard O. and Mary (Fladd) Bailey, he was a lifelong resident of Glastonbury.

Prior to his retirement, he was a bottler and mechanic for Pequot Springs and was a member of the Glastonbury Grange #26.

He is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara J. Bailey of Glastonbury, Nancy L. Bailey and Steven Goyette of Coventry; two sons and daughters-in-law, William D. and Laura Bailey of Amsterdam, NY, Charles B. and Gae Bailey of Randolph Center, VT; three grandchildren and their spouses, Jennifer and Ted Russell, Rachael and Randy Rose and Emily Bailey, and six great-grandchildren, Sydney, Isabelle, Natalie, Molly, Jake and Lucas.

Funeral service will be Thursday March 12 at 11 a.m. in the Mulryan Funeral Home, 725 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury. Burial will be in St. James Cemetery, Glastonbury in the spring. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Glastonbury Volunteer Ambulance Association or a charity of the donor’s choice.
