Window Washer Accused of Stealing Expensive Watch in Glastonbury

The man posted a high bond, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A contractor washing windows at a Glastonbury home is accused of stealing a $25,000 watch.

Jorge David Ortero-Vega 37, of Hartford, was charged on Friday with first-degree larceny, police said. He posted a $50,000 bond and is expected to appear in court in June 28, police said.

The home is located on Fall View Road, police said. Ortero-Vega is also accused of stealing other pieces of jewelry, according to a police report. Police did not detail what the additional jewelry was worth.
