Woman Hits Spouse In Head With Hatchet: Glastonbury Police

The accused is charged with criminal attempt/murder and was held in lieu of a $500,000 bond, police said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A Glastonbury woman, Lori Lee, 58, of Newell Lane, is facing charges in connection to a "family violence incident," police said.

At 9:15 p.m. on Nov. 3, police responded to a Newell Lane home and investigation revealed that Lee had struck "her spouse over the head with a hatchet several times, causing serious injury" to the victim, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital but is expected to recover from her injuries, police said Lee was held on a $500,000 bond and is charged with criminal attempt/murder, disorderly conduct, and first-degree assault.
