Worker Hurt In Glastonbury Industrial Accident
A worker was seriously hurt in an accident at a Glastonbury business early Tuesday morning, police and fire officials said.

GLASTONBURY, CT — A worker was seriously hurt in an accident at a Glastonbury business early Tuesday morning, police and fire officials said.
At 12:17 a.m., Glastonbury Police, Fire, and EMS were dispatched to EDAC Technologies, located at 81 National Drive, for an industrial accident.
Police said 58-year-old male employee had become trapped inside an industrial "CNC Vertical Turning Center" machine and was seriously injured. Fire officials said.

Police said the man was extricated from the machinery and transported to Hartford Hospital via Life Star helicopter.
The federal Occupational Safety and Heath Administration was notified and the cause of the accident is under investigation, police said.
