Class Description:

A creative writing and arts workshop – focusing on writing as a tool for improving communication; managing stress and fostering individual growth. Students will learn:

Ages:  Grades 5-8 (9-14)

Dates/Times:  Wednesdays at 4PM  (Beginning October 16th) For 8 weeks

Cost:  $75 per student for the 8 week program

About the Instructor: Steve Shifnadel was an elementary and middle school teacher for 42 years. He has a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and a Middle School Language Arts License, as well as a language arts specialist. Steve has presented writing/conferring workshops for thirty years, working with writers of all ages in finding their "voice." He also is a very strong advocate of students incorporating visual and performing arts into their written pieces. Steve also loves to write and shared a number of his original poems at a recent Oneida Center Open Mic Night.
