GRANBY, CT — A $3 investment in a multi-state lottery game proved to be a financial bonanza for a Granby resident who won $3 million.

Spokesperson Tara Chozet said, "Winners have the option of not having their name listed on our website. In the past, our system was set up so that in order to remove a name, we had to remove the entire entry, meaning it looked as though a prize was still out there. We updated the system so that we can still remove the winners' names, but keep the information about the game, date of claim, and prize amount public."
Chozet added that winners' names may be made available via Freedom of Information requests.
