A wonderful Celtic evening at The Village at The New McLean

On Friday, March 14 McLean Village was entertained with Music and Dance of the Scottish Highlands. Maggie Carchrie sang as well as educated the crowd of 50 with the history of St.Patrick, the patron Saint of Ireland, who was actually born in an area of modern-day Scotland.  Thomas Leigh played several songs on Scottish small pipes, and Highland Pipes  and George Thomson along with a young dancer, from the Callanish School of Celtic Arts, entertained us with traditional Scottish and Irish dances.

Irish Coffee and beautifully decorated Shamrock cookies were served and the crowd of 50 enjoyed singing along to several Scottish and Irish favorites.
