GRANBY, CT — A longtime UPS driver who became a familiar face across Granby has been honored by town officials as he heads into retirement.
First Selectman Mark Fiorentino issued a proclamation Monday recognizing Ray Haack, who served Granby residents for 24 years, according to the town.
Town officials thanked Haack for his “outstanding service” and friendship, saying he helped make deliveries in Granby “just a bit more personal.”
Haack is retiring to the Smoky Mountains of East Tennessee, according to the town.
“While residents will miss seeing him each day, we wish Ray all the best,” town officials said.
