• Cat Café Coming To Granby With Rescue Partnership (patch.com) — Granby residents can look forward to Nine Lives Café, a new cat café planned for 335 Salmon Brook Street that will combine coffee, pastries, and time with adoptable cats. Owner Holly Kundrata is partnering with Enfield Community Cat Project, which will supply rescue cats and support adoptions once opening details are finalized.
• Hartford man arrested after riding stolen dirt bike in Colt Park, police say (nhregister.com) — A dirt bike reported stolen from Granby was recovered in Hartford after officers spotted a man riding it through Colt Park and arrested him without further incident. Police say the 23-year-old suspect faces multiple charges, the KTM bike was towed for return to its owner, and a court appearance is scheduled in Hartford next month.
• USA Hockey Announces 2026 Annual Award Recipients (usahockey.com) — Granby native Alex Pelletier has been named USA Hockey’s Dave Tyler Junior Player of the Year after a record-setting season with the USHL’s Lincoln Stars, leading the league in goals and points. He’s the only Connecticut honoree among 13 national award recipients who will be recognized at USA Hockey’s President’s Awards Dinner in Denver on June 5.
