GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Granby's Planning and Zoning Commission holds a hearing and may vote on the town's 2026-2036 Plan of Conservation and Development, Granby's wetlands commission continues a hearing on a 16-unit apartment building and East Granby has proposed fines for wetlands violations.

1. Granby P&Z May Adopt 10-Year Town Plan
When: Tuesday, Oct. 13, 7 p.m.
Where: Meeting Room, Granby Town Hall, 15 N. Granby Road
What to know: The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold a public hearing and may vote to adopt the 2026-2036 Plan of Conservation and Development, recognize the committee that drafted it and adopt a revised zoning map, according to the agenda. Hearings are also set on special permits for two large garages, a detached accessory apartment and a carport addition at 516 Salmon Brook St.

2. Wetlands Hearing On 16-Unit Apartment Building
When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 7 p.m.
Where: Meeting Room, Granby Town Hall, 15 N. Granby Road
What to know: Granby's Inland Wetlands and Watercourses Commission continues a hearing on a permit for a 16-unit apartment building at 37 Hartford Ave., according to the agenda. It will also consider the town's application for a walking path at 53 West Granby Road and 215 Salmon Brook St., a request from Broadleaf Solar to stabilize erosion at 90 Salmon Brook St. and 35 Floydville Road, and Scottinaleece LLC's request to set up a cattle farm with paddocks at 142R and 186 Case St.

3. East Granby Proposes Fines For Wetlands Violations
When: Proposed ordinance posted by the town
Where: East Granby Town Hall, 9 Center St.
What to know: A proposed East Granby ordinance would let a town official issue citations for violating wetlands regulations, according to the draft. Fines would range from $50 for unpermitted work in an upland review area to $500 for filling or draining a wetland, $750 for diverting a watercourse and $1,000 for causing sediment or pollution to reach a wetland. People cited would have 30 days to pay or could request a hearing.

4. East Granby Selectmen Meet
When: Wednesday, Oct. 14, 6:30 p.m.
Where: East Granby Town Hall, 9 Center St.
What to know: The East Granby Board of Selectmen is scheduled to meet, according to the town calendar. As of Thursday, Oct. 8, no agenda had been posted.

5. Friday Voter Registration Session
When: Friday, Oct. 16, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Where: East Granby Town Hall, 9 Center St.
What to know: Registrars across Connecticut hold a voter registration session Friday, the last regular session before the Nov. 3 election, according to the East Granby registrars. Mailed applications must be postmarked by Friday, DMV registrations completed by close of business, and online registrations by 11:59 p.m. A final session Nov. 2 is for people who turned 18, became citizens or moved to Connecticut after Oct. 16.
