Ray Reid Soccer School to Visit Granby

The Ray Reid Soccer School in partnership with the Granby Rovers Soccer Club, is excited to announce the Young Stars Soccer Camp and a High School Soccer Camp in Granby this summer.  Both week-long camps  will be directed by four-time national champion collegiate coach Ray Reid and his championship staff. The camps will be held July 11 – 15 on the Granby Rover Fields at Salmon Brook Park in Granby from 5pm – 8pm each day.

 “We’re excited about returning to Granby again this summer and appreciate our partnership with the Granby Rovers. Granby has a rich soccer tradition and we are looking forward to further developing each player’s skills and love of the game," four-time national coach of the year Ray Reid said.

The Granby Young Stars Camp is open to boys and girls ages 5-13. Our camp coaching staff – which features some of the country’s top Division I collegiate coaches and players - will challenge your player to improve in a fun-filled environment. Camp coaches will work to develop and improve each player's technique, skills and creativity with the ball. Players will be grouped by age and ability and will participate in dribbling, passing, receiving, shooting, and small-sided games emphasizing touches on the ball and possession. The training focus for younger players ages 5-8 will be to improve their skills in a fun-filled environment and players ages 9-13 will work on technical refinement and receive an introduction to the tactical side of the game.  All players receive a camp tee-shirt, soccer ball and camp bag. The Ray Reid Soccer School features a strong coach-to-player ratio and a certified trainer will be on duty throughout camp.

 The High School Soccer Camp in Granby is open to boys and girls ages 14-18 and is a great way for older players to hone their soccer skills and get ready for the upcoming fall season. Individual technique, team and positional tactics among other areas will be taught by Coach Reid’s championship camp staff.  All players will receive a camp tee-shirt, soccer ball and camp bag.
