Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Inspired to excel, 788 members of Bryant University's Class of 2018 were awarded a Bryant degree at the University's 155th Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 18. Graduates will join a powerful, network of 45,000 alumni who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their organizations and communities around the world. Sarah Hancock of West Granby graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Accounting. Lauren Sannizzaro of Granby graduated with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Marketing. Amanda Whitehouse of East Granby graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Business Administration degree in Accounting, HP.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Select students have been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester. Local honorees are John Flanagan of East Granby and Amy Lenihan of Granby.

University of Nebraska, Lincoln NE

• Brigitte Rathey of Granby has been named to the Deans' List/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2017-18 academic year.
  Rathey, a senior animal science major, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
