[Update 8:45 p.m.] Barn in North Granby Burns in Fire
No injuries were reported, and no animals were in the structure at the time of the blaze, officials say.
Nine fire trucks - including every engine from the Lost Acres Fire Department in Granby and tankers from East Hartland and Southwick, MA - responded to a barn fire at 121 East St. in North Granby around noon Saturday.
Lost Acres Fire Chief John Horr said it took an hour to bring the blaze under control.
Horr said that that the fire started when Kent Matlack, the homeowner of 121 East St., was filling his lawnmower with gasoline and some of the fuel was poured over the hot motor.
