Become a Volunteer Coach for Girls on the Run Greater Hartford

Girls on the Run teaches life skills through dynamic, interactive lessons and running games to girls in grades 3-5.

Make a difference in a girl's life by becoming a coach! We are now accepting coach applications for our Fall 2016 season (September 9th-December 4th). Applications are due August 12, 2016.

At Girls on the Run, we offer life-changing, physical activity-based after-school programs for girls in 3rd through 6th grades throughout The Greater Hartford area (we will be at Canton, Hartford & West Hartford this season). Our goal is to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living. We inspire girls to be joyful, healthy and confident using a fun, experience-based curriculum, which creatively integrates running. During the program, the girls train for the Girls on the Run 5K run/walk while learning life skills such as healthy decision-making and teamwork.

All coaches must be at least 18 years old; head coaches must be female. Coaches need not be runners; they just need to be individuals that want to be a positive influence and are committed to developing and celebrating our Greater Hartford girls!
