Blessing of the Mounts a Huge Sucess

A special thanks to the Granby Horse Council for making this blessed event possible. The sky was blue, there was a cool breeze accompanying the brilliant warmth of the sun as the riders on their horses walked down the road from Holcombe Farm single file to the church. The air was crisp and filled with calm, love and respect for these magnificent animals.

Pastor Peter Preiser gave a special prayer of blessings and thanks for the riding season, for our local farms, for the health of our horses and other animals. He then read a poem by M. Adelia Ellis Ramey Always There Are the Horses. A communion was shared among riders and attendees. A trail ride commenced and as everyone departed whether on foot or horseback, there remained a feeling of peace and grace within the gentle wind.
