UPDATE: Flood Warning In Effect

A flood warning is in effect until 10:30 p.m. for the area from Simsbury to Suffield, where 2-4 inches of rain fell Tuesday.

A brief yet torrential storm through north central Connecticut left more than 1,000 Eversource Energy customers without power Tuesday afternoon.

At 5 p.m. Tuesday, the company’s outage map showed 338 customers in East Granby were without power, while 310 homes in Granby had no electricity.

In surrounding towns, 201 customers in Simsbury and 93 in Suffield also lost power, the outage map showed.
