GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Lasell College, Newton MA

• Carrolline Butler of East Granby received a bachelor's degree from Lasell College during its 164th commencement ceremony on May 12. The College granted 398 bachelor's and 125 master's degrees. Butler majored in Fashion and Retail Merchandising.

Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Worcester MA

• Three local residents were among 1,474 students from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) named to the university's Dean's List for academic excellence for the spring 2018 semester. They are Jessica Grabinsky of East Granby, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in mechanical engineering; Vincent Lucca of Granby, a member of the class of 2020 majoring in mechanical engineering; and Tyler Beaupre of Granby, a member of the class of 2018 majoring in computer science and interactive media and game development.
