Bryant University, Smithfield RI

• Bryant University extends congratulations to the students from the Granbys who have been named to the Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester: Zachary Allen, class of 2021 from East Granby; Lindsay Brodeur, class of 2019 from Granby; Gerald McDonald, class of 2020 from Granby; Kristen Perry, class of 2020 from Granby; Abigail Sannizzaro, class of 2020 from Granby; and Lauren Sannizzaro, class of 2018 from Granby.

Saint Michael's College, Colchester VT

• The Saint Michael's College Department of Athletics celebrated the 31st annual National Student-Athlete Day (NSAD), as Purple Knights carrying a minimum cumulative 3.7 grade-point average were honored during a ceremony in the Dion Family Student Center's Roy Room. In all, 70 student-athletes were lauded for their academic achievements, including Sydney Longley of East Granby, a member of the softball team.
