Campus Notes - Granby, East Granby College Students

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Gettysburg College, Gettysburg PA

• Julianna Pestretto, of Granby, has been placed on the Gettysburg College Dean's Honor list for outstanding academic achievement in the spring 2018 semester. Students with a quality point average of 3.60 or higher (on a 4.0 scale) for a semester's work are placed on the College's Dean's Honor List.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• A pair of local students recently were awarded degrees from Springfield College. Casey Hutchinson of Granby earned a bachelor's of science degree in Health Science Pre-Occupational Therapy, and Marissa Bascom of East Granby earned a bachelor's of science degree in Psychology. At the graduate commencement ceremony, 626 master's degrees, three certificates of advanced graduate study, nine Doctor of Philosophy degrees, 33 Doctor of Physical Therapy degrees, and five Doctor of Psychology degrees were awarded. At the undergraduate commencement, 817 bachelor's degrees were awarded for a two-day total of 1,493 degrees.
