Emmanuel College, Boston MA

• Samantha Martin of East Granby was inducted into Sigma Tau Delta, the international English honor society. Founded in 1924, the Society confers distinction for high achievement in English language and literature in undergraduate, graduate and professional studies.

Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

• Granby native Nicolette Tigno, a Psychology major in Ithaca College's School of Health Sciences and Human Performance, was inducted into the Pi Theta honor society. The mission of Pi Theta Epsilon is to support the practice of occupational sciences and the practice of authentic occupational therapy by promoting research, leadership and scholarly activities by its members.

Westfield State University, Westfield MA

• Angelica Banning of East Granby was one of three Westfield State softball players to earn MASCAC second team all-conference honors. Three WSU players were named to the first team.
