Campus Notes - Granby and East Granby College Students

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — College students from the Granbys recently achieved these notable accomplishments, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Belmont University, Nashville TN

• Clayton Stupienski, a Granby native, traveled to Germany and Italy this summer as part of Belmont University's largest group of student travelers in university history. With more than 650 students participating in 34 programs, including Maymester trips, students will spend time in Greece, Brazil, England, France, Switzerland and Haiti, among many other locations.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

• At the University of Rhode Island's 131st Commencement on Saturday and Sunday, May 20-21, 2017, about 2,600 undergraduate and 650 graduate students became the University's newest alumni. Granby students who graduated were Megan B Kuhnly, Bachelor of Arts, Psychology Magna Cum Laude, and Miriam Nichols, Bachelor of Science, Business Administration, Marketing (BSBA). Students who received the honor summa cum laude graduated with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.7; students who received the honor of magna cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.50; and students who received the honor of cum laude graduated with a GPA of at least 3.3.
