Assumption College, Worcester MA
- The Assumption College Department of Economics has announced that Emily Kuczma, of Granby, has become a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the International Honor Society for those who study economics. Kuczma, Class of 2018, was inducted into the honor society on Thursday, March 23. To qualify as a member of Omicron Delta Epsilon, the student must be an economics major and carry at least a 3.0 grade point average in both the major and in his or her overall studies.

- A pair of students from West Granby who received term grade point averages of 3.6 or higher while completing at least three course credits during the fall 2016 semester earned the Dean's Award with Distinction. They are Elizabeth Fetzner, a member of the Colgate Class of 2020, and Benjamin Fetzner, a member of the Colgate Class of 2017.
College of Saint Rose, Albany NY
- The College of Saint Rose is proud that Alanna Bergmann of Granby is one of 205 Saint Rose student-athletes who have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference Commissioner's Honor Roll, a recognition of outstanding academic achievement. Bergmann is a junior on the Golden Knights women's tennis team.
Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

- A group of history students from Eastern Connecticut State University took a week-long global field course (GFC) in the Middle East this March. The students visited sights throughout Israel, Jordan and the West Bank as they learned about the region's various conflicts and histories. Among the students was Carly Perron of Granby, who majors in Pre-Secondary Education and History and Social Sciences.
Marist College, Poughkeepsie NY
- Rachel Sullivan of Granby was named to the Marist College Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. She is a member of the Class of 2020 and is majoring in Liberal Arts.
Stonehill College, Easton MA
- Alexander Smoolca of Granby, a member of the Class of 2020, has been named to the fall 2016 Dean's List at Stonehill College. Smoolca is majoring in Psychology. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have a semester grade point average of 3.50 or better and must have completed successfully all courses for which they were registered.
Westfield State University, Westfield MA
- Danielle Cardin of Granby was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Cardin is pursuing a degree in Education at Westfield State University. Cardin is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter. Only the top 10 percent of seniors and 7.5 percent of juniors are eligible for membership. Graduate students in the top 10 percent of the number of candidates for graduate degrees may also qualify, as do faculty, professional staff and alumni who have achieved scholarly distinction.
