College Achievements For Granby, East Granby Students

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Castleton University, Castleton VT

• Tyler Arsenault of East Granby graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science from Castleton University following the successful completion of the spring semester in May 2018. The third graduating class of Castleton University passed across the stage at its 231st Commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 12, closing the 2017-18 academic year.

Manchester Community College, Manchester CT

• Manchester Community College is pleased to announce its roster of students achieving President’s List recognition for the spring 2018 semester. The President’s List recognizes the exceptional scholarship of full- and part-time students who earn a 4.0 or “A” grade point average in their courses. Part-time students who have earned a 4.0 GPA with no withdrawals or incompletes in the semester, and have accumulated 12 credits at MCC, are eligible for the Part-Time President’s List. Local honorees are Jeffrey Glassman of East Granby, and Nicholas Camacho, Marissa Guilmain, Kevin McGovern and Scott Mintell, all of Granby.
• Several area students were named to the dean's list at MCC for the spring 2018 semester. They are Jacqueline Hunter and Taylor Malinowski, both of East Granby, and Juna Grier, Maureen Williams and Derek Yorio, all of Granby.

Springfield College, Springfield MA

• The following students from Granby were named to the Springfield College dean's list for academic excellence for the spring 2018 term: Casey Hutchinson, studying Health Science/Occupational Therapy; Lauren Grashaw, studying Health Science/Pre-physician Assistant; Lily Holm, studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Jessica Storch, studying Health Science and Pre-Physical Therapy; Frederick Moffa, studying Movement & Sport Studies; and Bryce Alexander, studying Sport Management. Criteria for selection to the dean's list requires that the student must have a minimum semester grade point average of 3.500 for the semester.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following local students have been named to the Dean's List for spring 2018. From East Granby: Eric Brunelle, Juli Dajci, Samantha Soucy, Justin Cormier, John Klemonsky, Romman Semyanko and Patricia Mahon. From Granby: Mia Alexander, Shannon Jennings, Charles Delorenzo, Ian Downey, Nathan Jennings, Olivia Papa, Kathryn Baker and Ivan Semyanko.

University of Nebraska, Lincoln NE

• Brigitte Rathey of Granby has been named to the Deans' List/Explore Center List of Distinguished Students at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for the spring semester of the 2017-18 year. Rathey, a senior animal science major, was named to the Dean's List for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources.
