Dates to Note on the Granby and East Granby School Calendars

GRANBY-EAST GRANBY, CT — Summer may not officially be over for another month, but summer vacation is about to end for Granby and East Granby students, who return to school in less than three weeks.

Here are six important dates to note on the 2016-17 Granby Public Schools calendar:

• Aug. 25, 2016 - first practice day for fall sports
• Sept. 6, 2016 - first day of classes for students
• Dec. 26, 2016 through Jan. 2, 2017 - winter break
• Feb. 20-21, 2017 - Presidents Day weekend
• Apr. 10-14, 2017 - April break
• June 13, 2017 - last scheduled day of classes
